Harry Potter: Fluff, Fangs, and Peppermints

[Warning: Some chapters from the first two school years quote extensively from the original text.] George said his brother Fred had been acting very strangely lately. He'd been doing all sorts of odd things. For instance, he had started constantly looking around at everyone. And he'd often leave George behind or sneak away by himself. On top of that, he always seemed awkward and uneasy around Harry. Later, George noticed that Cho Chang from Ravenclaw would occasionally smile at Fred, and his brother would always smile back at her. George thought he'd uncovered a huge secret! Oh, poor Harry! Given how serious the situation was, George decided to find a chance to have a good talk with Fred! On Valentine's Day night, he secretly followed someone who was acting suspiciously, ready to expose their affair on the spot and tell them how foolish it was to betray Harry! George watched his brother put an arm around a slender figure in the dark, then slowly lead her into the moonlight and quickly press a kiss to the girl's cheek. But to his surprise, the girl wasn't the Ravenclaw Seeker. Fred was now affectionately stroking the girl's dark red hair, while her beautiful almond-shaped green eyes looked just like those of one of their friends.
