It was the annual opening ceremony once again. The Sorting Hat's song had never changed, and the starry night sky on the ceiling was still the same. Everything seemed just like every other year. The Gryffindor Chosen One had made it through his first year, and there didn't seem to be anything to look forward to at this year's Sorting Ceremony.
Of course, that was only how it seemed.
Professor McGonagall's voice echoed through the Great Hall. One by one, the new students put on the Sorting Hat and joined the older students amid their enthusiastic applause.
Without warning, Professor McGonagall's voice fell silent. The entire Sorting Ceremony was thrown into disarray, and in an instant, all of Hogwarts was in an uproar.
Because everyone had heard a name: "Adonis Slytherin"
"Adonis Godric Slytherin"
