Fated by the Mirror

Limit: 500 words. This is a story about companionship. He is a celebrated hero, revered by all. She is a spirit born from the energy of a mirror. At the end of their fate, all that remains is love. She says nothing, staying by his side as she watches him bask in glory before others, yet feel lonely and desolate behind closed doors. She watches him find the love of his life, then lose his family and home.

Life is like a dream, and love so deep becomes an obsession. He dies smiling before her eyes, yet she is powerless to help. She swears by her life as a spirit to stay by his side for three lifetimes and love him for a lifetime. Though she is no more than a speck of dust in the boundless wilderness of life, she will still do everything she can to paint this love poem that shakes heaven and earth.
