It was their pursuit of dreams that brought them together.

It was her uncertainty about the future that led her to their side.

When she opened her eyes, she found herself in a new world.

There was so much warmth in that world that she couldn't bear to leave it.

She laughed and cried; the world was so real.

She loved and suffered; the world was so cruel.

How much hardship must one endure to truly grow up?

How many tears must one wipe away to hold tight to the warmth in one's hands?

If the future cannot be changed, what meaning does her existence have?

If the future really can be changed, should she risk everything and give it a try...?

The azure sea shimmers with captivating light.

Set sail and journey to the ends of the world.

Don't ask what freedom means.

The sea itself will tell you the answer.

At the destination lies the answer to everything.

"Hey, Dad... is this the world you hoped for?"

This story's setting differs from the original. Here are answers to some of the questions people have raised most often:

1. The heroine may not be the Pirate King's biological daughter.

2. Ace was already born when the heroine was born.

3. Because of the heroine's butterfly effect, Ace was not born only after the Pirate King died.
