[Blurb Two]

When Lin Yuecheng was young, she secretly loved someone.

She knew he wasn't human, but a cruel, bloodthirsty man-eating fish.

She never dared to hope that he would turn his gaze toward her.

But when she finally gathered the courage to pursue him,

she received the affection and tenderness she had long yearned for.

A fish's tenderness can drown you.

She, too, sank into a tenderness that did not belong to her.

But in the end, she was only someone else's shadow.

When the dream ended, it was time for her to leave.

Fish are born with short memories. They cannot remember many people or things,

but they alone seal the most important memories of their lives inside themselves.

An Lie will always remember the girl who hid behind him and watched the sunset with him.

Day after day, she would hide in the shadows.

Until one day, she caught up with him.

She was clearly afraid of him, yet stubbornly told him she liked him.

He thought it was ridiculous, but amusing too.

After all, how much she resembled the person who had passed away.

She left without a word, never knowing that he searched for her desperately for six years.

When they met again six years later, she was no longer timid and weak as she had been before.

Instead, she seemed like a stranger to him, yet stirred his heart even more.

No matter what she became, she was his A Cheng.

What did racial loyalties matter? What did human rules matter?

He didn't care.
