Tales of Demons

Kui Ji sat atop a tall building, gazing down at the countless fated connections drifting beneath the clouds and mist.

A rotten heart, a body gone to ruin.

Whose skin is this, whose flesh and bone, and whose heartstrings?

When all things fade, old friends are gone, and the tea has grown cold.

I've received all your stories and feelings.

Note:

1. The blurb was adapted from Bu Shen Ming's "As Night Falls," with permission. Apart from that, the two stories have nothing in common, because our imaginations go in different directions.

2. Thanks to Bu Shen Ming for granting permission! I was truly amazed by her blurb, so I quickly asked permission to write fanfiction! But since our ideas were different, it turned into permission to adapt the blurb instead. Anyway, thanks again, Bu Shen Ming!

3. I originally wanted to write a slice-of-life collection of little stories about monsters, but I kept putting it off and lost my enthusiasm, so I had to finish it.
