Who plays the zither best?
Who paints the finest pictures?
Whose poetry is so captivating it leaves you spellbound?
Who cooks dishes that are matchless under heaven?
That person is, of course, Wuhua, the wondrous monk Wuhua. Whenever I read those lines, I wonder what kind of person could be so astonishingly talented. Wuhua certainly did not disappoint.
On the shores of Daming Lake, the ringing notes of his zither made the stars and moon fade from view, while the lake's famed scenery paled beside him. Wuhua was as beautiful as a woman, yet the gentleness of his expression and the grace of his bearing were beyond what any woman in the world could match. He seemed spotless from head to toe, as if he had just drifted down from the clouds of the ninth heaven. Even if Tang Sanzang himself returned to life, he could hardly have been more saintly. How could I not be drawn to such a person?
But fate is fickle, and who can predict what it will bring? Just when all seemed well, Wuhua turned out to be the mastermind behind the bloodshed!
What a pity! You were born a fine man, so why become a criminal!
A product of a wild imagination, telling the story of Wuhua's whole life.
