The Age of Innocence

(Fairy-tale version): Far away, there stood a dreamlike palace, where a delicate princess lived. The princess longed for love and adored pink. She married a handsome prince from a neighboring kingdom at a young age, then hid an incomparable beauty in her palace. Having two lovers is wrong. The prince neglected her, her lover used her, and the innocent princess was eventually knocked over by a pumpkin carriage. When the princess awoke with no memory, she decided to leave her past behind and become a formidable queen, ruthless and feared by all. She still longed for love, and hoped to buy a prince who would belong to her completely. She chose her target. But unbeknownst to her, an invisible black web was silently spreading around her... And so the story begins. This story is also known as The Vengeful Wife. It's a total shocker, wickedly twisted, ridiculously melodramatic, and utterly silly. I guarantee it'll leave you battered inside and out (whether you'll be left weak in the knees, I can't say). Written to indulge my own wicked tastes, this outrageous, melodramatic, twisted story has been a long time in the making. Now that The Wumen Misadventure is complete, I'm officially starting this one. Zhaozhao, June 15, 2009
