Childhood friends... Asai Nagisa doesn't know if she and Yukimura Seiichi count.
They met in third grade, during cherry blossom season.
Her first impression of him, when she was still young and innocent, was: What a beautiful person. He looks like a prince.
He wore an ordinary white T-shirt and jeans. The light cast a gentle halo around his blue-purple hair, and his blue-purple eyes shone like stars in the night, clear and bright. With that smile on his face, he looked just like a little prince who had stepped out of a storybook.
Her father had repeatedly reminded her that his friend's child was a "son," not a "daughter," so no matter how pretty he was, she didn't dare call him "big sister."
"Hello, I'm Asai Nagisa."
"I'm Yukimura Seiichi. Nice to meet you."
His smile was like a spring breeze, gentle and elegant, softly brushing past her heart.
Though she thought his smile was beautiful, she never fell in love with him because of it.
