Qu Bei was born into a family of swordsmiths in Hangzhou. After his father fell out with his grandfather, he was taken to Bayannur, Inner Mongolia, when he was young. After his father died, he made a living as an apprentice in a jade shop in Bayannur. By chance, Li Xia, a wealthy young man from Shanghai, came to him with an ancient bronze sword. For financial reasons, Qu Bei agreed to help Li Xia repair it, and so a strange adventure began. Traps within traps, mysteries within mysteries: can he pierce the layers of fog and restore the Qu family of Hangzhou to its former glory?
