The Legend of the Spirit Pearl: Investiture of the Gods

A wondrous pearl fell into the mortal world; at Chentang Pass, a true god was born. His face was fair as powder, his lips red as vermilion; his beauty was like the full moon. At Nine Bends River, he slew Li Gen; in a fit of rage, he pulled out the little dragon's sinews. At Baode Gate, Ao Guang submitted; twice he returned to Qianyuan, revealing his true form. After pursuing Li Jing three times, he finally acknowledged him as his father; he was secretly given a Fire-Tipped Spear. A radiant scarf adorned his head, and his water armor was patterned with dragons and tigers. Golden bricks left no foe standing; the Universe Ring and Red Armillary Sash were his companions. He won victory after victory at Xiqi, helping secure eight hundred years for the Zhou dynasty. He led the advance through the Five Passes, his spear flashing and banner unfurled, unmatched by any. Reborn in a lotus, his body could not be destroyed; Nezha of the Eight Arms was famous everywhere. Taiyi Zhenren: My disciple... I adore my own disciple! Jiang Ziya: Nezha will lead the vanguard. She proves women are every bit as capable as men! Li Jing: This beast... this demon... this unfilial... daughter!!! Jinzha and Muzha: Third Sister is so... so awesome! Yang Jian: So why is Nezha a girl?! This is another of the author's spur-of-the-moment gender-swapped retellings that follows the original. Proceed with caution if this isn't your thing!
