Transmigrating from Ancient Times to the Modern Day: Marry Whoever You Hate, the Holy Empress Dowager

Wu Xiang, the Dowager Empress of the Great Qian Dynasty, had finally outlived the Empress Dowager, who had kept her under her thumb. At last, she was rightfully mistress of the imperial harem. But before she could enjoy even a few days of the good life, she got so excited that she choked on her own saliva and died!!! The Dowager Empress opened her little eyes in her second life and looked around. Good heavens! Had she arrived in the world of the immortals?! After finally accepting that she was still among the living, Wu Xiang, the legitimate daughter of the Chancellor's household, made a tragic discovery: she was the daughter of a concubine kept outside the household! It was only after meeting her birth father that she realized the woman she had always called "Nanny" was actually her own mother! Though her new background was far from ideal, Wu Xiang was still grateful to Heaven for letting her be reborn with her memories. Perhaps, after all the hardship of her previous life, she had been sent to enjoy herself in this world of gender equality? She barely had time to celebrate before a bolt of lightning struck her on the head. "Welcome to the Dowager Empress Development System!" The System said, "What a mess! Do you know how many people you killed in your last life? This time, you have to become a good empress and make up for it!" Wu Xiang: "..." So much for enjoying herself... The System said, "You're just a little short of reaching your goal! All you have to do is marry a powerful man, bear him a son, then kill your husband and put your son on the throne. After that, this System can say goodbye to you!" Wu Xiang: "Most powerful men aren't stupid. They're not easy to kill!" The System said, "Fool! You can get another man to kill him for you!"
