The Judge Speaks

While Cui Yu was alive, she was the devoted sidekick of Xu Qingming, the incorruptible official. She worked herself to the bone for him, and even ended up losing both her legs for his sake. Later, Cui Yu died. After five hundred years of struggling her way through the underworld, she finally rose to become a Judge. The little ghosts bowed and scraped whenever they saw her, and even the old Lord Yama looked upon her favorably. The Star Lord of Longevity from the Palace of Heavenly Secrets even declared that he would marry no one but her, sending betrothal gifts to the underworld every few days. Cui Yu figured her good days were finally here. Then the Great Emperor Ziwei of the North Pole's Central Heaven rushed up to her and accused her of bullying his precious older brother. The Great Emperor Ziwei glared at her. "His broken legs in that life were a trial, but you had no sense and took the trial for him, leaving him unsettled for five hundred years." Judge Cui cried, "Then what should I do?" The Great Emperor Ziwei replied, "He's undergoing another trial now. Use whatever means you have and break his legs." And so Judge Cui once again accompanied Xu Qingming through reincarnation, working herself to the bone for him. But this time, unlike before, she had only one goal: break his legs. Theme:
