I Owe You a Lifetime of Deep Love

In a magnificent palace, inside an exquisitely appointed bedchamber, two figures stood. No, there was only one figure, pacing back and forth restlessly. He looked extremely agitated, walking to and fro beside the bed. His long silver hair swayed with his movements. The black brocade robe lent an air of authority to his slightly youthful face. Right now, though, his expression was dark, and the veins on his forehead throbbed. He glanced out the window. The sun was already high in the sky. Uh... All right! Sen Yu seemed to have no sun, but the person in bed had slept nearly until noon! Xuan Ji lifted his eyelids and spotted several palace attendants behind him, all with bruised and swollen faces. More veins bulged on his forehead. Was it really so hard to wake him? Why did they all look like that? Why hadn't they managed to wake him by now, forcing him to come and do it himself? At the thought, the air around Xuan Ji grew even more oppressive. He walked over to the bed and reached for the quilt. But the moment his hand touched the blanket, a fist came flying at him. It was incredibly fast. Xuan Ji easily let it skim past his hair, his face darkening further. Now he understood how the palace attendants had gotten their injuries. His back teeth ground together with a grating sound. Xuan Ji channeled his power and sent the brocade quilt flying. The person in bed smacked his lips, stretched out a hand to feel around for the quilt, and showed no sign of waking. Xuan Ji's mouth twitched. He had never seen anyone who could sleep so much.
