Warm breath brushes the back of his neck. Remembering the man's ruthless methods, Su Qin breaks out in a cold sweat and is too frightened to move.
“N-no... Nothing of the sort. My lord has treated Qin with great kindness. At a time like this, how could Qin consider defecting? My lord is worrying over nothing...”
The elegantly dressed man lets his teasing smile fade. His handsome features are unchanged, yet in an instant he becomes terrifyingly imposing. The mountains of corpses and seas of blood from the other day come to mind again, along with the piercing cries of the dying. The armored man had raised and lowered his blade, bringing a dynasty to its end in a single moment.
“But Sun Jijiu said the other day that you, Su Qin, were born with a rebellious streak, and were bold enough to refuse to submit...”
“That's a complete slander! My lord, don't listen to a villain's lies! Qin is willing to submit!”
He suddenly smiles and leans close to the face on the verge of tears with fear. Half threat, half temptation, he asks, “Then will you submit to me in bed?”
