"Yuze, if it weren't for this, would you stay by my side?" My eyes brimmed with tears. Yuze just stared at me blankly, as if to say, "Stop making a scene." Looking at him in that moment, my mind was a mess. I just wanted to get away, farther and farther away. I knew I must look awful right then, standing in front of him with tears streaming down my face and my makeup smeared. It made me feel even more humiliated, even less able to face him.
I ran off without looking back. I didn't want to go back, didn't want to lose what little dignity I had left. Ever since we were children, he had been such a good boy. Even during adolescence, unlike other boys, he never drank, dated, fought, or lost his temper. He just kept that gentle expression on his face.
Though he often smiled and chatted with his friends, I knew those weren't happy smiles. They were just polite, a sign that he wanted to be friends with them.
After all these years by his side, I still never truly understood this person who was so familiar, yet whom I had always admired and had feelings for.
It's interesting from the beginning, so I'm really looking forward to it. Keep up the hard work and update it.
