Under their parents' deliberate arrangements, Chu Han is forced to move in with her childhood friend and sworn rival, [redacted].
[Redacted] is refined and aloof, courteous and well-mannered. There are enough girls who like him to circle the track, but only Chu Han knows how selfish, callous, sharp-tongued, and cold he is beneath that refined mask.
Chu Han has been competing with [redacted] since childhood. Unfortunately, from elementary school through high school, she always fell just a few points short, forever coming in second.
Then one day, Chu Han has a steamy dream and develops a strange affliction called "[redacted] hunger."
A friend hasn't seen Chu Han in ages. He asks [redacted], "Where's your girlfriend? I haven't seen you two bicker in days, and it feels weird."
[Redacted] narrows his eyes as if struck by a thought. "She must be shy."
Later, [redacted] happens to see Chu Han playing the tree-pinning game with a well-groomed guy. He walks away with a cold look, then returns to their rental and pins Chu Han, who has snuck back in, against the wall in the dark, kissing her recklessly. "Why have you been avoiding me?"
Chu Han's voice is strained. "Let go."
[Redacted]: "No!"
Chu Han: "I've got a hunger sickness named after you. If you don't let go, I won't be able to stop myself from pouncing on you!"
[Redacted] smiles. "Good. I have it too."
