Her master left without a word, leaving her a sword that could slice through iron as easily as mud. She went down the mountain alone and met Li Guiyun, the young master who had left home, and Liu Xu, a taciturn swordsman who was silent all day long.
She remembered her carefree days on Liuyun Mountain. She would lie in the grass, lazily lift her legs, and grin at the drifting clouds with a blade of grass dangling from her mouth. Her master would look at her as if she were hopeless, but in the end always indulged her.
In the blink of an eye, those people and those things were all gone. Bearing that sword, she changed from an innocent little girl into an adult. Nothing was ever again as it had once seemed to her.
Very well written!!!
