"To the right of Hades' dwelling, you will see a spring."
"A white swan stands not far away."
"Do not approach this spring. Just stay nearby."
"You will also see another spring, whose clear waters flow from the marsh of Mnemosyne, where a gardener keeps watch."
Note: Mnemosyne is the Greek goddess of memory. She has two springs: one lets souls retain their memories forever, while the other makes them forget everything.
The heroine's name in this book is only an allusion and has no direct connection to Greek mythology. Please keep that in mind.
The male lead is the very popular Thranduil. You know the one.
The setting is based on the film versions of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, with some material from The Silmarillion as well. Tolkien purists and readers who take canon very seriously, please be kind, but corrections are welcome.
A few things about the timeline
Aside from building a family for Thranduil, Moneta, and Little Leaf, I started this story to explore the peoples and cultures of Middle-earth: humans, Elves, Dwarves, Goblins, Orcs, their cities, their customs, and so on. So some dates definitely won't line up with the original works. To be honest, I'm a canon fan myself, and aside from the timeline, I've generally stuck to details that have a basis in the source material.
Timeline bug 1: The Shire wasn't founded until the year 1601 of the Third Age, but I moved it forward by more than 1,500 years. This is a pretty serious mistake. I'm really sorry!
Timeline bug 2: I'm not sure whether the Prancing Pony in Bree existed in the early Third Age. The original works don't say.
Timeline bug 3: Gandalf and the other wizards arrived around the year 1000 of the Third Age, so I may move their arrival a little earlier.
Come on, madam, don't be fooled! I really like the interesting heroine and the wayward Sir Arthur in your works, the paradise-like Shire, the lovely hobbit, and Abel who is both a teacher and a friend... In short, I have fallen into your trap, you can do whatever you want.
As soon as I saw Jinhua, I only had eyes for him, my male god! ! !
The first one again, His Majesty is so difficult to deal with because he has a harmless little hobby. After all, isn't she beautiful?
Damn it, is it really okay to stop here?
I think the author may be as blushing as I am
It was so well written, why did you give up?
No, is it really okay to just be fooled like this? The author will update soon! ,,
The author should be more careful, I feel like my heart will be broken
Ahhhhh, it's actually a trap, and it's still stuck here.
It's 2024, when will you come back?
