Happy Birthday

It's been three years since we broke up, but I still can't control myself.

Every year on your birthday, I quietly buy a cake, stick in the candles, turn off the lights, and softly sing "Happy Birthday."

Then I wait for the candles to burn out, feeling the tears on my face dry.

I eat the cake alone. I can't tell whether it's sweet or salty.
