The Holy War of the Gods: A Maiden's Heart

[In life, so many things pass from nothing to something, then from something back to nothing. We can't foresee them all, and we often don't even have time to think.] "Then let's just keep going like this!" That was what Shalu thought, ever since the dawn of the Mythic Age. A friend born under Aries once made a particularly sharp observation: "Shalu always seems to keep Shakyamuni at arm's length, but in truth, she's more devoted than any of us couples. That love of hers is etched into her very bones." That man truly was her doom. "I know I was the one at fault in my last life, but in this life, do you really have to punish me by making me unable to see? ... Do you think that if I can't see, I won't be hurt?" She had always been afraid. Yes, afraid. Shalu was proud, but she was also insecure. He was so wonderful. Could he ever like someone like me? She was afraid he didn't like her. If she crossed this line, would they even be able to remain friends? In the end, though, the golden-haired man merely smoothed her hair and said gently, "You're overthinking it." Theme: Fate is not invincible.
