The Handsome Merman Livestreams to Cleanse the Ocean

In the year 3333 of the Star Era, a meteor shower the likes of which Xiaozhu Star had never seen before struck. Meteorites rained down on the planet like beans being poured from a sack. After the disaster, the already heavily polluted ocean was boiled away completely. The merfolk who had been hiding in the underwater world surfaced in droves. Some were barely alive; others were already dead. Han Zhi gazed at the sea, strewn with corpses, tears glistening in his eyes. Just then, another meteorite came crashing down. Han Zhi opened his eyes to find that he had been bound to an Ocean Purification System. The System was pretty outrageous: it required him to livestream the struggles of these low-level creatures to survive to a higher civilization. At first, Han Zhi refused. But the System told him that the higher civilization's gifts were all good stuff. They could purify the ocean and even help him and Ye Meng undergo a second differentiation, making it possible for one of them to become pregnant. Han Zhi gritted his teeth and agreed. Merfolk are born without a gender. Only after falling in love do they develop sex characteristics opposite to their partner's. To spare their partner the hardships of childbirth, two merfolk, each thinking himself clever, trick the other into becoming a man while each plans to become a woman. But then disaster strikes: somehow, both of them end up as men... Han Zhi: "Hey, is this what you call a mer-bromance?" Ye Meng: "Aww, our love is so mer-mazing!" Later, when he saw a gestational pouch growing on Ye Meng, he was left utterly bewildered about his life as a fish. Why is my husband pregnant? QAQ [Male Pregnancy] Theme: Love is a ray of light
