[Thranduil] Return to Middle-earth

The story of how Thranduil became a king. Please note: 1. This is a slow-burn story, with a focus on the gentle unfolding of everyday life. 2. Pairing: Thranduil x Melkor (angsty at first, sweet later. If that's not your thing, please don't read!) 3. A special note: It seems nobody noticed this in the blurb, so let me make it clear: this is a novel, not history. I have changed a lot of elven history. If you want accuracy and historical fidelity, please look elsewhere. 4. I have never watched The Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit. I started writing this solely because I fell in love with the king's looks at first sight. The story spans four Ages and mainly follows Thranduil's life. It will explain many of the mysteries left unanswered in the films (laughs). The opening begins during the Years of the Two Trees. Thranduil's birth has been moved back to the Years of the Two Trees. I have added a Mother Tree of the Elves. He grows up in Aman. At this time, Melkor destroys the Two Trees, and Prince Feanor curses him, renaming him Morgoth Bauglir. Melkor occupies the north of Middle-earth. The Elves leave Aman and return to Middle-earth. Feanor dies, and the human hero Beren and the elven princess Luthien work together to cut a Silmaril from Melkor's Iron Crown, passing it down to their descendants. The Valar gather an army and attack Melkor. The continent of Beleriand sinks beneath the sea, and Melkor is captured. The First Age ends. After being imprisoned, Melkor remains so for a long time. More than a thousand years after Sauron goes into hiding, he appears in a fair form, calling himself Annatar. He helps the Elves of Eregion forge nineteen Rings of Power, while secretly making a powerful ring in Mordor: the One Ring, which can rule all the other Rings of Power. The war ends in defeat. Sauron loses his fair physical form, takes the One Ring back to Mordor, and disappears. Meanwhile, Oropher is killed in battle. Thranduil becomes king and retreats into the great forest, later known as Mirkwood, with the surviving Elves, most of them Silvan Elves. The Second Age ends. The Third Age is the story of The Hobbit, so I won't go into it all here. P.S. I haven't seen the films, but the moment I saw Thranduil's face, I knew he was the one! This kind of story is very niche and very hard to write. (That continent is incredibly complicated, which makes it difficult to write about.) But I'm still going to give it everything I've got for Thranduil. (There just isn't enough of him in the films...) (This is true love!) If you spot any plot holes, please point them out. Thank you.
