The Underworld

Originally titled Fantasy Underworld

Legend has it that there is a family in this world whose ancestors were officials in Hell who longed for the mortal realm. From them, the family inherited a “mission”: to go work in Hell after death...

On her twentieth birthday, Yuan Hongqu finally learned the truth: she was the heir to this family. Once she could see the ghosts and gods of Hell, it would prove that her power was strong enough, and her father would have to follow family tradition and bid farewell to the mortal world. Hongqu changed her father's “mission” and also learned how unfortunate she had been over her past six lives. From then on, Hongqu bore witness to the love, resentment, sorrow, and joy of these spirits, both in the mortal world and the underworld...

This is a collection of stories that together form one larger tale, recounting the lives of officials in Hell.

Whether you like it or not, it's all up to fate.

I'd like to say something: When I started writing this, I was 19 and about to turn 20. Of course, I'm no longer 19, so this story now seems younger than I am. There's nothing I can do about that: it won't change, while I... keep on going!
