(Jianghu Can't Drink: Rat-Cat Fanfiction) Four-Year Chronicle

Jianghu Bu Ke Yin begins with a Christmas Eve meeting in 1999 and ends with Zhan Zhao dying in the line of duty in 2006. In between, it also looks back on events from before they met. But what happened between Zhan Zhao and Bai Yutang after they parted in 2000 and before they met again in 2004 is only briefly touched on from Zhan Zhao's perspective. After their reunion, Bai Yutang says just one thing about it: "I saw you in America." Four years is such a long gap, especially compared to the time they spent together. It has always been a regret of mine. So here, I imagined what Bai Yutang's four years might have been like. This is fan fiction based on Jianghu Bu Ke Yin, told mainly from Bai Yutang's perspective, filling in the blank four years after Bai Yutang and Zhan Zhao parted. My thanks to Qianshui Li, the author of Jianghu Bu Ke Yin, for bringing us so many moving moments. To stay as close as possible to the original style and content, a few passages in this story are taken from the original. The ending connects with the original, so it includes more quoted passages.
