Even a Famous Detective Has to Play Tennis!

Mouri Yayoi, an outstanding graduate of Teitan Elementary School, is the "junior detective" recognized by the famous detective Kudo Shinichi. He is also the cousin of Mouri Ran, captain of the Teitan High School karate club, and an official member of Teitan Elementary's tennis team. He thought his life would stay peaceful forever: investigating murder cases every day with his big brother Shinichi, playing tennis, and attending the lavish parties hosted by his big sister Sonoko. That was how he expected to spend a relaxed middle school life. But one afternoon, Yayoi's father, Mouri Masahiko, suddenly announced a new plan: "...Yayoi, your mother and I talked it over, and we think we should move to Kanagawa. There are just too many murder cases in Beika... By the way, things aren't exactly peaceful at Teitan, either. How about going to a different middle school? What do you think of Rikkai University Junior High in Kanagawa? Your cousin is at Rikkai University's senior high school, too!" Mouri Yayoi hesitated for a second between thrilling cases and his cousin, then saw his father pull out a tennis ball and gently coax him: "Yayoi, I hear Rikkai's tennis club is amazing. They've dominated the national tournament for two years in a row. If you go there, you'll get to play against strong opponents every day!" Yayoi: Tempted. One month later, at Rikkai University. "I heard there's a new student this year who's a famous detective! He's already solved the 'Haunting in the Old School Building After Classes,' the '...' and the 'Library Theft Mystery'!" "Wow, that's incredible! Then he must have joined the mystery club, right?" "No... I heard he joined the tennis club and even became a reserve regular..." "Wait, what???" (Friendship-focused, no romance, a progression story where the protagonist gradually grows stronger. Go for it!) Theme: Even a famous detective is unbeatable at tennis!
