I am Mo Qishi, a woman. I've loved studying ancient medical texts since I was a child, and I'm quite skilled in medicine. Of course, I don't take lightly the sports young people enjoy, either. I love playing basketball and made the school team. Because of basketball, boys have confessed to me and girls have pursued me, too. But there is only one person I love. My grandfather chose my name. He was a Buddhist and was deeply devoted to a Buddhist saying: "Enter the world without abandoning it; step into the dust without being stained by it." My mother's and my names both came from this saying. My mother is called Mo Ranchen, and my name, Mo Qishi, was chosen for its poetic resonance.
