The bustling imperial capital.

In the brief lulls between the church's bitter clashes with the forces of darkness, in an age when women who refused to be submissive and gentle would be branded as "witches" and burned alive,

Black Witch Molly caught a "wildcat" outside her secondhand shop, smashing the glass and baring its claws.

The slender "girl" lifted her skirt and stood with her feet planted wide apart, like a pair of compasses.

Rude, malicious, and ill-mannered.

Aside from that sweet, dazzlingly beautiful face, as lovely as a golden camellia blooming on a November branch,

she was good for nothing.

At their first meeting, her face was bruised from a fight. The childish girl and Casey, who was hissing at her from behind a floor strewn with broken glass, tail raised and fur standing on end, faced off until the returning witch grabbed her by the scruff of her neck and fate.

Screaming maliciously, loud enough to pierce the eardrums, she shouted provocations, then furiously thrust her sharp claws at the returning black witch.

She knocked the brown paper bag from Molly's arms.

Milky-scented bread rolled all over the floor.

The second time they met,

that rude, insolent, aggressive "wildcat" nearly became a limp "dead cat."

Molly had planned to leave the little creature to die, but as she passed by, the dying kitten, barely clinging to life, stubbornly tripped her.

And so, in the sinful castle, a hidden door opened.

"The Secret Door Hidden in the Castle" is also known as "The Witch's Cat". The title is still undecided, so please forgive my inability to come up with one.

This is a branch story from "The Devil's Redemption". I hadn't planned to write it, but I really do love "foolish beauties who are silly but have truly gorgeous faces."
