A hard drive crash caused by a malware attack in an online game just before the New Year ruined my computer. The first part of this story, along with most of the second, went to meet its maker.
I’m devastated. All the work I poured into my first story is gone just like that.
As you can probably tell from how slowly I update, I’m not a very consistent person.
That’s why I decided to finish writing the whole story before posting it. That way, you can enjoy reading it, and I won’t feel guilty about being urged to update.
It’s been a month since my hard drive crashed, and only recently have I started slowly getting back to the keyboard and putting myself back together so I can start over.
This story... just looking at it makes me sad.
So I’m starting a new story instead of continuing this one.
I wanted to let everyone know, and in a few days I’ll apply to have this story deleted...
For now, the new story will keep the same title... Coming up with a title for a story is really hard.
The main and supporting characters will keep their old names... I just don’t have the energy to think up new ones.
It’ll be a new story, but updates will be slow.
This time, I’ll write some first and then post it, so I don’t end up in the same situation again...
I don’t want to leave this story sitting in everyone’s collection list when I’m no longer updating it.
So please, if you’ve saved it, kindly remove it.
