Huali: It is now the 13th year of Dehua. Standing beneath the peach trees in the courtyard, I suddenly remember the year we met.
I still want to say that I have never seen a boy more beautiful than you. Skin as pale as jade, lips faintly red, eyes deep and dark. I still remember that beautiful peach grove where I first saw you. Beneath the trees, I sang, "On Peach Blossom Mountain lives a peach blossom immortal, in the peach blossom immortal's grove is a peach blossom hut," and then I saw you.
"I break off a branch of Ruomu to brush the sun, then wander freely for a while." You said your name was Ruo Xiaoyao. You took my hand and called me Huali, then smiled at me. That smile is why I still can't forget you after all this time. Xiaoyao, I was the one who ruined your life.
If only we'd stayed on Peach Blossom Island. I could pick peaches, you could grind herbs, and together we'd tend to the little rabbit's wounds. You could keep decorating my room, and we could play music together. Wouldn't that have been wonderful?
You were willing to give up the throne just to put my mind at ease, but in the end, I gave you up for the throne.
How can I put it? I miss the days we roamed the martial world together. Moli was still there then, and the three of us entered poetry gatherings and punished evildoers, living a simple life of everyday comforts. Now I am the princess consort, second only to The Outcast and above all others, but you are gone, and Moli is gone too.
In the end, all that remains is me, remembering a name that once resounded throughout the martial world: The Glorious Tale, the legend that belonged to the three of us.
Ruo Xiaoyao: Huali. No matter what happens or how much the world changes, I will never do anything you don't want me to do. Anything you want to do, I will do. I remember the way you sang about Jiangnan, and how you loved to roll your eyes and tug at my sleeve. I truly hoped it would be just the two of us, living quietly on Peach Blossom Island with Master for the rest of our lives. But I knew you were too wonderful to stay there forever. Even later, when your eyes no longer held only me, mine still held only you.
Only you, Huali.
Well, I'm not very good at writing introductions. How should I put it? The main characters definitely aren't just the two of them. There's also Nalan, Bai Zhinuo, and others. The first volume is about martial-world feuds and will be lighthearted. The later part is about palace intrigue and schemes. It tells the story of how Huali becomes a legend, but loses them along the way.
Will it be a tragedy or a comedy? I'll leave that up to everyone.
