Song at the Roadside

A rewrite of All the Extras. The original story was written by someone else, but I forgot their username, so I'm putting it here.

Story introduction: Lord Yu, the Minister of Rites, has a firstborn son whom his father despises. He lets himself go and becomes a libertine, frequenting places of wine and women. When a consort plots rebellion and turmoil engulfs the land, Yu Qing works behind the scenes to unravel the secrets of the past. In the end, he retires after achieving his goal and rides freely through the jianghu.

Wang Changling wrote: "Suddenly, I saw the willows by the road turn green, and regretted urging my husband to seek a noble title."

The word "roadside" here means along the road. I chose this title first because I thought it sounded nice, and second because the story doesn't have any particularly grand central theme. A title that sounds like a tale passed down by word of mouth seemed fitting.

As for original fiction, how should I put it? It probably isn't as popular. From what I can tell, fanfiction gets more clicks and gives you a chance to discuss things with others. But after writing for so many years, I still hope to write an original story. Having my own original world is always different from fanfiction, which tends to include commentary.

I'm a busy person and don't rely on this to make money. I do it purely for fun, so I don't really mind whether anyone leaves comments.

Thanks to my old friends You Bei, Tao'er, Pao Pao, and Xing'er, who wrote stories with me back then. It's been four years, and we're all still here. That's truly precious.
