[Anime Crossover] Fate-Focused: Even Mages Have to Take the College Entrance Exam

Also known as Fate Schlock: The Fifth (Fake) Holy Grail War The idea came from a discussion with a close friend: "What would happen if the college entrance exams were held in the form of a Holy Grail War?" My friend summed it up in one decisive blow: "It'd definitely be more interesting, and more brutal, than the screwed-up system we have now." And so this story was born. Written in the style of Japanese light novels, with both snark and seriousness, laughter and sorrow. The male lead's romance takes center stage. Read with caution if that's not your thing. Starting in 1990, the much-anticipated college entrance exams underwent a complete overhaul. All traditional written tests were abolished. Candidates would compete for victory by participating in a nationwide Holy Grail War. The tenth exams, held in 2000, happened to coincide with Fuyuki City's Fifth Holy Grail War. What sort of brutal circumstances will the candidates face on this unforgiving battlefield? "Deepen the reform of the education system across the board, and select well-rounded talent in a more realistic manner. This is a stage where dreams can take flight." - People's Daily "It's a game, but it's no joke." - Akihiko Kayaba, genius game designer of Regios, the virtual spirit-particle world where the college entrance exams are actually held "If there's a fantasy even Doraemon can't make come true... As far as I know, there's only one." - Nobita Nobi, Japan's Minister of Defense, who won the Nobel □□ for proposing the "Five Principles for the Harmonious Coexistence of Humans and Robots" "Just because I'm the textbook for every subject on the college entrance exams doesn't mean I can beat this rotten game." - Ye Xiu, the "textbook for every subject on the college entrance exams" "If it were a man, good heavens, I'd never want to conquer him♂ again!" - Wrestler Billy Herrington, ranked among the "Most Feared Men in the World" What kind of exam is this, so revered by all of them, that it's considered such a delightful (depressing), heartwarming (heartless), and enjoyable (insane) spectacle?
