[Reborn] At Any Cost

In the dead of night, An Ning still clearly remembers those fleeting fragments, like splinters lodged in his skin, each one hurting all over again whenever he stirs. A fortune-teller once declared that he was destined to drift through life without a home, lonely and alone. Time proved every word true. When he was sixteen, just after his high school entrance exams, his parents were both killed in a car accident. At twenty, drugs were found hidden in his home, and he was sent to prison. Later, he was beaten to death behind bars. Some unseen, mighty hand seemed to control his fate, leaving him miserable, bitter, and full of resentment. If he could be reborn, he would change everything! He swore he would find the murderer and honor his parents' spirits beneath the bright light of day! Note: The protagonist isn't naive or saintly, and the story may be a little gloomy.
