"Good morning." She gave a slight nod, her voice quiet. She had never been good at speaking loudly, and Kise knew that better than anyone, so he wasn't offended by her cool response.

Her cheerful, energetic childhood friend cupped his hands into an O, took a deep breath, and shouted, "Let's get along in middle school, too!"

She smiled faintly and nodded, this time with a much bigger gesture than before. Her childhood friend across the way smiled with satisfaction, then suddenly turned bright red and hurriedly grabbed the balcony railing, leaning far over it.

"Wait, Chiyama! You haven't changed your clothes! Hurry up and change out of your pajamas!"
