Ten years later, we learned to look back. The past we walked through remains just as it was, with spring warmth and flowers in bloom.
More dazzling characters, more spectacular stories, more beautiful scenery: DNF's constant updates brought endless charm, but sadly took away a little of its innocence and joy.
New characters appeared one after another. The mages and fighters who once took the world by storm are now forgotten. Looking at it all, I felt a faint sadness ripple softly through my heart.
As always, I adore mages. That will never change.
When I lost my account, I lost three lovely characters: a max-level battle mage, a max-level summoner, and a max-level magician.
For a long time after that, I didn't touch the game gathering dust on my desktop.
One day, on a whim, I quietly opened it. I said, “Let's start over.” I would level up and write the story of my growth as a novel.
Full of hope, I was struck like a bolt from the blue:
My Loran was gone, replaced by an unfamiliar dungeon.
The dry grass, warmed by the sunlight, had become a muddy wasteland, with faint fireflies fluttering through the air. The big trees that smelled of fresh wood had turned into crystal formations. The dazzling sun was gone, replaced by a natural graveyard. The warm, dry grass was gone, and not a blade grew there.
Even the goblins, with their wrinkled green skin, pointy ears, and repulsive faces, were gone!
They had all been replaced by strange monsters!
Hendon Myre, once prosperous and flourishing, was now shrouded in darkness. Only the fireflies that refused to leave stubbornly gave off their feeble light.
The cheerful background music that should have been playing instead left a sad, haunting impression.
I walked down the unfamiliar street, feeling as though everything had become distant from me.
Rubble, broken walls, dead trees...
In the end, I was so frightened that I hurriedly shut down the game.
I thought about it.
DNF,
please give me back a peaceful Hendon Myre, a beautiful West Coast, the Sky Tower, the Dragon Tower, the Tree Spirit Jungle. Give me back everything that has passed away.
I dream of those memories. Hendon Myre, ten years from now, let's meet again.
Come on(???_??)?
