That Taigong Wang

I remember reading an article once that said Taigong Wang was the best protagonist (I don't remember it clearly, but something like that). I can't say I agree. Of course, he isn't even that important in this manga, and his own spirit beast even makes fun of his looks. Still, as the protagonist, he comes first in many ways. I've always liked the main character best, but in this one, Nezha is my favorite. That kid is so easy to understand that it breaks my heart. What can I say about Taigong Wang? I only started to feel something when I saw his dignified, white-haired image at the Taigong Shrine in Youli. Then, when I found out at the Luoyang Museum that Luwang really was his name, that feeling made it perfectly clear how much I like him. He's not my absolute favorite. I just smile to myself when I see his name. It's not that we're especially in sync. It's just that, when I think about it, Taigong Wang feels like the one I'm closest to. I keep wondering where he is now, casually plucking peaches and eating them. Shen Gongbao was right, too. As long as that mule-like look in his eyes hasn't died, he'll live forever. Theme:
