Living in accordance with your heart is best. Summer lotuses reflect the sun; withered lotuses listen to the rain. All things grow and flourish according to their own causes and conditions. Once an attachment takes root, it doesn't simply disappear. Forcing yourself to let go only makes it easier for it to become a fixation.
