Your Shadow

After an operation, all that remained was my memory, alone and without its male lead.

A shadow in the light,

a shadow in the dark,

like countless stars filling the sky, no matter the weather, always by your side, following you like a shadow.

Not being there is only an illusion.

As always, I watched helplessly as the snow covered the path you took to get here. I hoped you would come and take my hand, walking with me across the sea of snow, stepping in the footprints you left behind.

Someone once told me: Love means keeping someone in your heart and treating them with all your care. But now my heart is completely bound to you. I try to loosen the knot, but only tie it tighter, until I can hardly breathe. So even if this wait lasts forever, I will keep waiting. Have I now been left with nothing but the right to miss you, and the right to wait for you in silence? I disappeared from your world, but you are all that remains in mine.

How strong must I be to keep remembering you? But I've been strong for so long, and I'm tired.
