Douluo Dalu: Tears of the Merman

A BL fanfic set in Douluo Dalu. I’ve searched high and low for Douluo fanfics, but never got my fill, so I’ve decided to write one myself. This story features original characters and is BL, though there are also straight couples. The main pairing should be Original Character x Tang San. They switch. I’m terrible at naming things. The title and the protagonist’s name both seem awful [covers face]. There will be passages from the original, but I’ll try to keep them to a minimum. [I’ve read comments on some stories, though I can’t remember which reader wrote it. It stuck with me: “I’m getting tired of seeing the original text over and over again.” Something like that. Then I thought about it and realized they had a point. I’ve probably read the original text over and over, too.] I’ll try not to just copy the original... All rights belong to the original author, Tang Jia San Shao. This is just fanfiction, after all. QAQ Lin Haichuan was born by the sea and spent twenty years living a busy but fulfilling life. Who could have guessed that an earthquake would trigger a tsunami? A town just fifty kilometers from the coast was not spared [obviously], and Lin Haichuan, who lived there, was swept into the depths by the merciless waves. His body was never found. Lin Haichuan never imagined that he could open his eyes again after being swept out to sea. Everything before him was blurry and dark, as though someone had deliberately laid a thin black veil over his eyes. Lin Haichuan stretched out a hand and gave it a hard poke... Why did he hear the sound of an egg cracking?! ∑∑!! Suddenly, the darkness gave way to light, tinged with a faint blue. His keen sense of smell caught a familiar scent. The smell of the sea.
