Chi Man is an utterly ordinary young man. He works hard to earn money, with his heart set on finding a wife and having a child, so they can live a happy, peaceful life together. Buried deep in his heart is a secret: he has seen a ghost, a little creature with white hair and red eyes, a being that should not belong in this world.
Yan Lang is his junior colleague, tall and sturdy but honest and awkward, and the senior employees at the company are always picking on him. Chi Man couldn't stand by and watch, so after helping him out a few times, he found himself pursued by the grinning young man.
Gradually, Chi Man realizes that Yan Lang isn't as honest and easy to bully as he seems. He is hiding many shocking secrets, and Chi Man is terrified by what he learns. Even the world is becoming less and less like the one he knew. Monsters are appearing everywhere, and a black void is swallowing countless innocent people. The superpowered want to seize the right to rule humanity, while humans fight back to defend their dominion. A three-way war is about to erupt.
