The Beauty’s Journey

After thinking about it, I might as well send it out. I opened this book on May 22, 2025, a woman's book. The author's language is very gentle and simple, completely in the tone of modern literature. To be honest, over the years, the books I have read have had a very narrow perspective. Whether they are world famous books or online literature, my attention has only allowed me to devote my attention to women's literature. So it can be said that my review should be said to be very subjective and feminist. This book is also in this category, which is why I have the courage to write what I think. I don't dare to comment on other literature, but I probably still dare to appreciate books about women. This year's Korean drama "Bittersweet Comes to Meet You" is very popular. It tells the story of the ups and downs of three generations of women in a family. It is probably not appropriate to say ups and downs. According to the development rules of things in political books, spiral is more accurate, but ups and downs have a sense of vicissitudes of life, and the sky is clear after rain, so I like this adjective very much. Back to the subject, this book is also a history of the ups and downs of a woman's family. Different from the single-line extension of three generations of women in "Bitter Orange Comes to Meet You", the writing of this book is more consistent with the Chinese word "family" - it is a tree. The roots are deep and the leaves are luxuriant, covering the sky and the earth, full of greenery and luxuriance. There will be deep and shallow shadows under the sun, and there will be the rustling of leaves under the breeze. I won't tell you whether the root of the tree is Zhang Yueru or Zhang Xueting (I think Zhang Yueru is more like a seed, while Zhang Xueting is the root that took root desperately). Each of the lush branches and leaves has its own story. There are many hysterical and vicious and crazy women among them, two of them, it can be said. It is worth mentioning that these are two completely different women. From the beginning, the decisive one will never look back even if she bleeds out after being bitten by a snake, to the neurotic one who is afraid of well ropes after being bitten by a snake for ten years, to the later silent letting go and insignificant atonement. These are the red leaves on the tree, soaked in blood and the first to dry up. The most harmonious Biye are those tough women whose fate is indeed unpredictable, but will never give up even if they die. Among them, the family letter touched me the most. The war rages on for three months, and a letter from home is worth ten thousand gold. In fact, in family letters, neither the mother nor the child dared to write down the part where their "life hangs by a thread." You must share your troubles, but you must not hurt your muscles and bones; you must share your joy, but you must not be happy. Love is about speaking but stopping. This balance is held by a thin silk thread, a love thread. Just spreading along the veins of the big tree, I saw almost all the possibilities from 1930 to 1980. It's hard to tell which one is better and which one is worse, that's life. Everyone is functioning well in their own position and living their own lives. In fact, no matter how hateful you are, in the end there is only regret. I commented in another book a long time ago: Only daughters and mothers will be kicked out of the "door", and only they will look back. In my opinion, female softness is not weakness, it is gentleness. There may be no shortage of hesitation when deciding, but there is no such thing as softness afterwards. We learn to forgive not for others, but to let go of ourselves. Only when the clothes of the soul are as light as a feather can we show that the soul is heavier than Mount Tai. For the women of the Zhang family, it is also an ascension to heaven. Zhang Xueting, Zhang Dingdang, Zhang Ruolian, Zhang Mingdang, and Zhang Xiaofengxian... It's funny to say that the surname "Zhang" was just a chance encounter, but for them who had just arrived at that time, it was the root of duckweeds. It is also the starting point for evergreen trees in the future. The trunk is a bloodline. This end of the blood line is maternal love, and the other end of the blood line is the child's love for his mother. Regarding this kind of love, "Shoplifters" and "Mother" shocked me greatly. "Just because you have given birth to a child, do you qualify to be a mother? The parents you choose should have a stronger bond, right?" ("Shoplifters") "In the process of receiving compulsory education, the most common thing I heard is: 'Mother's love is selfless and great.' A child's love for his parents is the most selfless." ("Mother") This kind of plot also exists in this family with only women. But more love is about warmth, softness, and responsibility. These loves are nutrients, transported from the trunk and bursting out from the branches. The most valuable thing is to nourish the earth. In addition to the above, there is also love. I don't know much about this aspect, so I won't go into details, but it can be seen that love does not account for a large proportion in "history". Although love is as sparkling as the organza on the camera lens, to the person holding the camera, it is nothing more than that, and it is not really a big deal. It's certainly touching and haunting, but that's the cherry on the cake. It's a bittersweet novel. What I want to say when I close the book is that I feel like I'm trying to express sadness just to write new words. I really like the characters in it, but I'm too lazy to write an analysis, so I just think it's to avoid spoilers (laughs). Forgive me for the pretentiousness of my language, this is really a habit. But he is still young, and things may look different in ten years.

From 1930 to 1980, all the love and hate, choice and displacement, fate and ending of the Zhang family women are condensed in these short 250,000 words.

What a great woman! Life truly blooms and rises in limited time! Living in peaceful times, I cannot imagine myself living in such an era. However, here I feel that women really go through a lot of growth. Even Little Golden Fairy had her own glorious life under the protection of the previous two generations of women who never gave up on their own growth. This book shocked me like no other novel. It truly told me how difficult it was for women in ancient China to be independent until modern times. Even though women's status has been greatly improved and they can have more jobs of their own, they still suffer from suppression and discrimination in the workplace culture. The most important thing is that Beauty Walk is very inspiring! She changed my view on the Zhang family's industry in the book. In other words, I never knew there was such a way of survival before. Every era has its own products of the era, and the three generations before and after the Zhang family well reflect the transition. Ha ha! Of course, what I want to say most is that the author is so amazing! ! ! I really cried all day! 😭I hope we can be full of energy in the future! Set a flag: Let's see if I have a deeper understanding when I read this novel five years later [Sunglasses] [Red Heart] [Red Heart]

One of the few truly high-quality books in Jinjiang. It has been about 15 years since I started reading it? Or longer? The last time I read it was around 2012. I would occasionally think of it in the following years, but I even forgot that I read it in Jinjiang, Tianya Fortunately. Unexpectedly, many years later, I suddenly remembered the title of the book and found it! I'm very happy to see the ending [bixin], thank you author! I hope this book can be published, and if it is made into a TV series or movie, it will be very exciting.

This is a rare good article, with timeless writing, as if Zhang Ailing's writing style. The first part describes the turmoil and youth in Shanghai's ocean, the middle part has thoughts on the war and chaos, and the last part is about the vagaries of the world and the ups and downs. Through the lives of these Zhang family women, we can see the differences and progress of the three generations.

The author is very good at writing. When I called to open this book, I saw that it was set in the Republic of China period and I didn't have the courage to read on. It was because of the heaviness of life. The shattering of war. Whether you can bear it or not. But there is a burst of vitality between the lines of the author's words. It makes people stop and stop. It took me 2 days to read it (I especially want to know the content of Chapter 100 and whose life journey it depicts. The author can review and release Chapter 100, please). I burst into tears watching this. The author's characterization skills are delicate. If I have a physical book, I will buy it and read it again and again. The four generations of Zhang family women and the current situation broke out. The fate of each character is presented one by one, making you cry for their tenacity and perseverance. They are actually those ancestors. The unyielding soul of women. Let people applaud and be proud of them. It is these ancestors who have created our current life. Thank you! Thanks to the author for the description he gave us, which made me lament the unyielding nature of life. Impatiens in full bloom! Looking forward to the author's other works.

Oh my God, it has been over ten years. Thank you for encountering this article. I was just late, but fortunately I didn't miss it!

It was actually written almost 10 or 20 years ago, but it still seems very attractive now.

A very, very awesome book! ! !

Read nth time Still touched More tears
