The Immortal Celestial Maiden (Short Story)

There was a beauty whose sight I could never forget. Where is my beauty now? Like a flower beyond the clouds.

Eternal life... why must it always come with loneliness?

I was only a moment too late, and now I will never see you again...

There is no reason. You are mortal, and I am a celestial maiden. It is as simple as that.
