[Twilight] Believer

The surest way to become a vampire hunter is to hate vampires.

In the world of Twilight, there is a group of hunters devoted to killing vampires. They are calm and disciplined, and usually work in teams (or on cases).

But the Volturi family of Italy is an enemy they have never been able to defeat.

Reader's Guide: 1. Some of the techniques in this story come from my own A Guide to Hunting Vampires. If you find any similarities, tough luck.

2. I used up all my scruples on Caius, so if you want a brainless, sugary Mary Sue romance, turn left at the door.

3. Vampires are an elegant (or at least moderately elegant) race, while humans are a simple (and brutal) one.

4. The heroine won't be some warrior girl with nothing but a knife, and the hero won't be some troublesome little imp.

5. How to kill a vampire: 1) Have a werewolf kill it. 2) Tear it to pieces and burn it. 3) Drive a wooden stake through its heart.

Theme: Caius gets his own springtime, too.
