Glossary

Academy Island is where the world gathers and trains its talents in an effort to save itself, so it brings together elites from across the globe. The academy has four divisions: Science, Literature, Martial Arts, and Fine Arts. Most students in the Science Division come from Eighth Fang Triumph City, while most Literature Division students come from Eleventh Fang Home of the Longing. (Just as Earth is divided by lines of latitude and longitude, people have divided the various continents into different fangs. Fangs are somewhat like countries in the real world, but not exactly the same, since they are all administered by the National Security Army.) More than half the students in the Fine Arts Division come from wealthy families, which is why Bu Lishi calls them rich scum.

Home of the Longing: Described at length in the story.

Triumph City: A city that never sleeps and the heart of advanced technology. It is Yue Linghan's hometown.
