[Person of Interest/Inception Crossover] Wake Me Before I Lose Myself

Disclaimer: I don't own them. I only hope they'll belong to each other.

Synopsis: For Finch, the number the Machine spits out this time is a little strange. For Arthur, he has something to work out with someone. For Reese, his boss's mental state clearly needs some extra attention. And for Cobb, the trouble on his mission is only just beginning.

Warning: This story grew out of a strange idea, so the plot of POI has been changed somewhat (though everything happens before Carter's death), while the Inception timeline is set before the Fischer job. Because of this premise, the characters may be quite seriously out of character. Read at your own risk.

Excerpt: "This is a dream within a dream. In principle, the chemist doesn't have to come with us," Cobb said, his half-lidded gaze cautiously testing the waters. "It's entirely up to you, John."

Reese answered with a shrug.

Starting this story to motivate myself not to abandon it.
