A Crossover: The First Loves of Devoted Male Leads

Korean dramas, Hong Kong dramas, and mainland Chinese melodramatic romance shows all need one or two characters whose love ends in tragedy. As part of the employee benefits at the interstellar "Cheat Code Home," a junior employee gets the "First Love Character Pack" and begins a vacation lasting 100 cosmic days.

"My Sunshine." The male lead is He Yichen. Pretty great, right? Yet his first love, Zhao Mosheng, dumped him without a word, then found herself a husband (even if it was a fake one). Seven years later, she came back and picked up where she'd left off. Is that really okay?

"The Time We Couldn't Bury." The male lead is Lu Licheng. Doesn't everyone say it takes ten thousand years of cultivation to find a Lu Licheng? So why is Su Man so focused on Song Yi, the basketball ace? Is she treating Lu Licheng as a backup?

"I Hear Your Voice." The male lead is Park Soo-ha, a warm-hearted guy with mind-reading powers. His first love was won over when he was eight by a girl ten years older than him, unkempt and slovenly, practically a middle-aged auntie. It breaks your heart, doesn't it?

"Master's Sun." How clueless does Cha Hanna have to be to use her younger sister's name and help her kidnap the boyfriend who loves her? A first love, an ex-girlfriend, a white lotus, a setup to let the cannon-fodder supporting female character have her way: it's all just asking to be criticized.

"You Are the Apple of My Eye." The school belle dumped him just because he was immature. She sure is beautiful, but is she also spoiled and headstrong?

"Kill Me, Heal Me." The male lead, Cha Do-hyun, is the quintessential tall, rich, and handsome Korean drama hero, and he comes with seven personalities to choose from. As his first love, you'd better have plenty of skills. Stroking his hair the right way is an absolute secret weapon (I'll definitely write it, but after the ending comes out).
