(Ye Xiu X Huang Shaotian) Perierunt Memoria

This is a story I reposted from a thread. I love it so much that I couldn't help sharing it. "Tell me... what exactly are humans?" "Huh? I'm not quite sure what you mean." "Isn't each human being an independent existence? Apart from differences in physical appearance, what sets one person apart from another?" "Maybe... the soul?" "Is that really it?" "I think so. Because our souls are different, we think different thoughts, do different things, and live different lives." "Could it be memory instead?" "Huh?" "A person's memories make them who they are. Once those memories are lost, that person is no longer the same person. The soul may still be the same soul, but that person's existence has been erased..." "Hmm... I guess you have a point. But I still believe that even if someone's memories change, as long as their soul remains the same, they're still the same person." "Is that so..." "Yeah!" "All right. Please be sure to remember what you just said..." "Huh?" "…" "…" "..."
