“A boy rides here on his bamboo horse, circling the bed and tossing green plums.” Perhaps this is the beautiful dream we all had when we were young.
Yet in everyone’s youth, there is also a sensitive phrase that drifts through the air: “puppy love.” Few people are willing to equate childhood sweethearts with puppy love. Ask a thousand people, and you’ll get a thousand different feelings.
Puppy love means being too young to understand love. It means parents and teachers lecturing you over and over. Or, for most people, it means loving someone deep in your heart, but never finding the courage to say it.
Our heroine is lucky. She has experienced all of these things, yet she still can’t tell whether they taste sweet or bitter.
Who can say how the story will unfold...
