Jiang Shu is a second-level Qi Refining cultivator. His parents are unknown, and he was abandoned on Qingyuan Mountain at birth. A powerful alchemist took him in, and he thought he would never have to worry about food or clothing again. Unfortunately, this alchemist was a once-in-a-millennium saintly do-gooder, always worrying about the world while barely managing to look after himself. His alchemy skills weren’t great, either, and the pills he made were poor quality. With his current abilities, he could refine ten third-grade pills in one batch: five low-grade, only one mid-grade, and the rest duds. Even that would have been enough to keep them fed, but the alchemist was constantly playing the saint, which is how things ended up this way.
