What if all of this is a dream? What will I do then?
Those gentle words, those cold smiles, that blood frozen in place. I pull the blanket tightly over my head and hide beneath it, trembling, curling up my legs, never wanting to open my eyes again.
Is this all an illusion? My laughter and his laughter used to blend together so perfectly. Now my heart is missing the wild thoughts of being held and warmed.
I'd rather sleep for the rest of my life and never wake up.
Excerpt One:
Qian Xiao pinned Su Ling against the cold wall. His long-fingered hand lifted her chin. "Do you still expect me to love you? Hmph. Don't be naive. I've never loved you." Then he let her go, his eyes full of deep disgust.
Su Ling gave a bitter laugh. "I never thought you could love me, but I didn't think you'd do that..." Su Ling couldn't bring herself to care about seeing through him anymore. She was overwhelmed by despair.
Excerpt Two:
When they met again, Su Ling was no longer the woman who used to cry and cling to Qian Xiao. She was perfectly calm in his presence. Apart from the surprise of their reunion, there wasn't a ripple in her eyes.
Seeing Su Ling react that way, bitterness spread through Qian Xiao's heart. No one knew what he had done.
Su Ling sneered. "Don't expect me to be grateful to you."
Excerpt Three:
"Miss Su, here's your invitation," someone beside her said respectfully, offering it to her.
Su Ling glanced at him, took the invitation, and opened it. When she saw what was inside, a familiar sneer tugged at her lips. He must have gone to a lot of trouble, spending so much manpower and money just to find her. She couldn't let all that effort go to waste. "Tell him I'll be there."
A little sweet, a little angsty, but mainly science fiction.
This tangled feeling. . . . .
